My Thesis will be focusing on develop and enhance ultrathin, flexible and soft batteries to cater for the bendable modern devices. Increasing flexible lithium ion battery performance through fabricating various mixture composite of active materials such as silicon, graphite or LTO with binder, conductive additive, dispersant and electrolyte will be investigated. Larger reversible capacity, smaller size, lighter weight, mechanical stability and long cycle life will be studied to meet the high demand for flexible lithium ion battery. Hundreds of semi solid anode half-cell will be fabricating and testing to come up with high capacity close to the theoretical capacity of the active material used at specific C-rate. Durability of the half-cell will be consider to minimize the change and capacity reduction during cycling. Full flexible battery components will be investigated to find out which materials and technology for these components can be used.
